GM 2011 Chevrolet Traverse timing chain issue
My 2011 Chevrolet Traverse received a P0008 code; which has to do with a problem with the timing chain. This is wide known problem with GM to the extent that they created a special extended warranty to handle this problem. It has been confirmed by the dealership, that my vehicle has the same engine, but for whatever reason was not included in the Special Warranty which covers vehicles to 120K miles. My vehicle has 121K miles. This is a GM problem and they know it. A car with 121K miles should not have to deal with a timing chain issue. I have contacted GM Corp as well as the local dealership and they are not willing to do anything for me. I believe they should be held accountable for their problem.
All of us with problems and GM offers nothing? Ive been quote 3k to get it fixxed and no one wants to do it! What is a # at GM where I can call and bitch?
Seems there are thousands of people all over the place with the same problem .
Is GM going to own up to a bad design ?
I’d love to show up on set to one of those Chevy “real people” commercials and give a “real” review of their Traverse line!
