Ford PTU leak

Issue Status: Discussion

I just went in to get an oil change and the guy comes at me with this everything looks good except your ptu is leaking badly and it has metal shavings in it and that I would need to get it fixed before winter and its October 2nd. It's a $2000 fix with labor. I told him I don't have that kind of money right now but I'll see what I can do. So I get it home and look under the car for leaks and the only thing that's leaking is water from the AC. My car isn't making any noises or acting strange. I don't know what to do. Should I take it to a mechanic or just not worry about it.
