Brought my car in because the heater on the passenger side went out. The dealership worked on my car for two weeks. The mechanic that worked on it told me that he had to call Chrysler several times because he didn't know what else to do with the car. He told me that Chrysler said they had a bad batch of antifreeze that was put into cars, mine being one of them. I was told that the antifreeze was gelling in the cars, creating blockages and problems, and that there was really no way to know if they could ever flush all the bad antifreeze out of the car. I contacted Chrysler and was unable to get a satisfactory response besides "We will fix it" which is obvious because I have a warranty. I was also told that it was affecting my MPG, which is still not where it is supposed to be. I have an appointment to get it in again for that.

own a 2012 chrysler 200. Heat on drivers side cold on passenger side. Dealer claims bad antifreeze installed at the factory. Clogged radiator and heater core. Expensive repair not covered after original warrenty expired. No help for a problem caused by chrysler.

Also own a 2012 chrysler 200. Heat on drivers side cold on passenger side.
Brought it in and Chrysler said the heater core needed replacement, costing me $1500.00. i asked my mechanic about it, and he said that he had a 200 in the other day with the same issue. He researched it and found that it is happening to a LOT of them.

I also have a 2012 Chrysler 200 with the exact problem, no heat on tje passenger side. I had to bring it in twice to get it fixed. It cost me $2500.00. I will never buy another Chrysler product. My air conditioning alsi went out summer of 2017, I feel a/c's should last longer than 5 years.

2012 Chrysler 200 "Heater core leaking. Mechanic indicated cooling system clogged with coolant that has turned to a "peanut butter consistency." Estimated $2000 to flush engine, replace water pump, heater core, thermostat and possibly radiator. Complete dash has to be removed to replace heater core that cracked because it was clogged with the coolant Chrysler put in at the factory. They said' "we have no recall or service advise on a coolant issue."

2012 Chrysler 200, had heat on drivers side, cold on passenger's side. I talked to a mechanic , was told very common on 200's. Needed to have heater core replaced. Very expensive to do. I changed it myself, took 12 hrs.
Ended up removing both doors to make das removal easier.

Bought my 2012 chrysler 200 in Boston with 78,000 miles on it. The same day I was driving home( which I live in KC Mo) I noticed I wasn’t getting any heat on my passenger side and barely any on my drivers side. When I got home I took it to a chrysler dealer. Heater core was clogged costing me $1,500. A month later the same problem. It has now been a year since I bought it and I’ve had the heater core replaced 3 times. Again it’s at the dealership for its 4th heater core. Of course now they want to replace the radiator and oil cooler and want another $1,400(heater core still has another year left on it’s warranty) This is a chrysler issue. They obviously used a coolant that had an additive in it to fix any pin holes in the radiator. My cars been there for 3 weeks while I’ve been fighting with chrysler Corp. I’ve spent money on rental cars every time they work on it. Chrysler should own up to there mistake instead of people spending thousands of dollars for the poor coolant idea.
