Toys 'R' Us Inc. Settles wage claim

Toys 'R' Us Inc. agreed to pay more than $100,000 to settle complaints that it failed to pay earned vacation time to some workers in Massachusetts who had left the company, the Massachusetts Attorney General said Monday.

The toy retailer will pay nearly $96,000 to 813 former employees who worked at Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us stores between October 2006 and last December. The company will also pay an $8,000 penalty.

The Massachusetts Attorney General's office received a complaint from a former worker in February 2008 and the company subsequently discovered others during a self audit.
