A class action lawsuit was filed against Global Fitness Holdings, LLC alleging unfair and deceptive business practices and seeks restitution for consumers harmed by Urban Active Fitness health clubs. The suit alleges that the company promises members that they are allowed to cancel their membership under various circumstances, but when members attempt to cancel their membership the company refuses and continues to charge fees.

Allegedly, Urban Active has been the subject of numerous consumer complaints about its deceptive billing practices, and has received an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio.
