Two lawsuits filed in Tel Aviv District Court name Eden Springs Ltd. (Maayanot Eden) (TASE: MEYD) and Neviot - Nature of Galilee Ltd. (TASE: NVIO) claiming that the companies and their officers are concealing from the public that the water they sell in 19.8-liter plastic containers damage health and could cause cancer.

The petitioners claim that the containers contain phenol at levels that affect the health. Specifically, "that the toxicity of the substance found in the containers marketed by Eden Springs and Neviot causes, among other things, deviations in the sexual development of men, early menopause in women, neuro-behavioral problems such as hyperactivity and attention disorders, obesity, type 2 diabetes, a drop in sperm count, and certain types of cancer related to the hormonal system, such as prostrate cancer and cancer in the respiratory system."
